EP E5 Open Space

  • There must be equivalent or better re-provision of the area of designated open space at the boundary with the cemetery in terms of quantity and quality to a suitable location within the estate, with high quality landscaping and recreational uses. Development proposals must provide public open space to address the identified deficiency in access to Local Open Spaces in accordance with the London Plan policy 7.18 ‘Protecting Open Space and addressing Deficiency’.
  • Suitably designed plays space(s) for all age groups must have regard to the Mayor of London’s ‘Play and Informal Recreation’ supplementary planning guidance document (2012).
  • Development proposals must be supported by an analysis of the current and future need for the provision of indoor and outdoor sports facilities in order to support the population arising from the proposals. Any proposals should have regard to Sport England’s Planning for Sport Aims and Objectives to protect or relocate existing facilities, enhance the quality, accessibility and management of existing facilities and provide new facilities to meet demand.
