D2: MONITORING AND REVIEW

1. The Council will monitor the effectiveness of the Plan’s policies and consequently the success of the Plan in achieving its strategic objectives. The Council’s Monitoring Reports will set out progress on the indicators and targets within the Monitoring Framework.

2. In accordance with Paragraph 33 of the September 2023 National Planning Policy Framework, the Council will review the plan to assess whether any of the policies need updating before the fifth anniversary of the adoption of the plan. As the housing requirement is below the current housing need, the Council will undertake an early review of the plan, to be completed before the third anniversary of the adoption of the Plan, to ascertain whether more housing capacity is deliverable or developable.
