REC4 - PROVISION OF NEW SPORTS PITCHES

The provision of new sports pitches will be permitted provided:

  • they would not detract from the rural character and appearance of the countryside;
  • they would not materially harm the character and amenities of any adjacent residential areas;
  • they would not give rise to a requirement for extensive car parking which would materially harm the character of the countryside or the amenities of any properties;
  • the resulting traffic movements are acceptable in relation to the existing highway network and would not require substantial road improvements or adversely affect the character and tranquillity of the area;
  • the location is reasonably accessible by public transport having regard to the likely nature, frequency and extent of its use.
