LP12: Night–Time Economy

The Council will support and foster a diverse and safe night-time economy in the borough by:

  • Supporting night-time uses within the borough’s town centres, in accordance with LP10;
  • Ensuring there is no undue impact on the amenity of neighbouring and local residents due to noise, disturbance and anti-social behaviour; and
  • Supporting measures that address issues over community safety and litter.

Implementation

Monitor complaints received by the Council’s Environmental Health Department; and

Undertake regular town centre health checks to monitor vacancies and clustering of uses to maintain viability and vitality of appropriate uses.
