RET4: Loss of shops outside of designated centres
Outside of designated town and local centres, proposals resulting in the loss of retail uses will be permitted where:
- the proposal would contribute to the vitality and vibrancy of the area or the availability of important services in the locality;
- the use proposed is a community facility which would benefit local residents: or
- Reasonable attempts have been made for a minimum 6 month period without success to let or sell the premises for a retail or community use (see marketing requirements in Annex 3)
