Policy 10 New Housing (Strategic Policy)
A. The Borough’s London Plan housing requirement is 4,110 homes, with a total Local Plan housing requirement of 5,928 dwellings over the plan period from 2024-2039. Housing delivery will be in accordance with the following stepped trajectory:
- 2021/22 to 2024/25 – 210 dwellings per annum
- 2025/26 to 2027/28 – 420 dwellings per annum
- 2028/29 to 2030/31 – 670 dwellings per annum
The Council will exceed the minimum strategic dwelling requirement, where this can be achieved in accordance with other Local Plan policies.
B. The following amounts of housing are indicative ranges in these broad areas of the borough over the next 10 years:
