Policy 32 Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew World Heritage Site
A. The Council will protect, conserve, promote and where appropriate enhance the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew World Heritage Site (WHS), its buffer zone and its wider setting. In doing this, the Council will take into consideration that:
- The World Heritage Site inscription denotes the highest significance to the site as an internationally important heritage asset.
- The appreciation of the Outstanding Universal Value of the site, its integrity, authenticity and significance, including its setting (and the setting of individual heritage assets within it) should be protected from any harm.
- Appropriate weight should be given to the current Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew World Heritage Site Management Plan.
