New development in residential areas will be of a high quality and take account of the Sevenoaks Residential Character Area Assessment Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). Applicants submitting a planning application in residential areas should be encouraged and use best endeavours to include a statement to show how their proposals have responded to the character of their local area and meet the design guidance set out in the SPD.
