EN7 - Noise Pollution
Proposals which meet the following criteria will be permitted:
- development would not have an unacceptable impact when considered against the indoor and outdoor acoustic environment including existing and future occupiers of the development and the amenities of existing and future occupants of nearby properties; and
- development would not result in unacceptable noise levels from existing noise sources that cannot be adequately mitigated.
Where proposals for high noise generating development would affect Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or open countryside or sites designated for their biodiversity value, development will not be permitted if it would undermine the character or harm the biodiversity of these areas.
