Policy EMP6 (Stoke Road Area)

Within the Stoke Road, Mill Street and Grays Place areas, redevelopment schemes which provide a range of business and residential uses, either independently or combined as mixed use schemes, will be permitted if they comply with all of the following:

  • there being no adverse effect on the amenities of neighbouring residential areas;
  • there is adequate access, servicing arrangements and landscaping;
  • on site car parking being limited to reflect the area’s good public transport links; and
  • that the proposals make a positive contribution to enhancing the local environment in accordance with the design policies contained in this Plan.
