EP18 - TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEVELOPMENT

Proposals for telecommunications development will only be permitted provided that:

  • where the proposed development would be located within the Green Belt, or would affect the character of the Green Belt due to its proximity to the boundary, the development is for a code system operator and it is demonstrated that no other more suitable site exists; and
  • it is demonstrated that the sharing of other existing masts is either not possible or would result in a greater environmental impact; and
  • the proposal would not adversely affect the character or amenities of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the River Thames setting, any nearby properties or the locality in general; and
  • the proposal would comply with all other relevant policies in this Plan.
