- Beaconsfield Old Town
- Burnham
- Farnham Common
- Iver
Proposals to change the use of an existing shop unit to any other use will only be permitted where:
- the proposal would not result in the predominance of non-retail uses in the Local Shopping Centre; and
- the proposal would not result in a concentration of non-retail uses within the Local Shopping Centre; and
- the proposal would not involve the loss of an A1 retail frontage on a visually prominent site in the Local Shopping Centre; and
- a shopfront appropriate to the shopping area would be maintained; and
- the proposal would comply with all other policies in this plan. Particular attention is drawn to policies TC1 (Development in Beaconsfield (New Town), Burnham and Gerrards Cross), EP3 (Use, Design and Layout of Development), TR5 (Accesses, Highway Works and Traffic Generation), and TR7 (Parking Provision).
The change of use of a unit within Part A of the Use Classes Order to any use outside Part A will not be permitted within the Local Shopping Centre unless the proposal is appropriate to the Local Shopping Centre and would add to its vitality and attractiveness.
