P54 Car Parking

  • Development must:
    • Adhere to the residential car parking standards in Table 11; and
    • Provide all car parking spaces within the development site and not on the public highway; and
    • Provide electric vehicle charging points (EVCP) where on site parking is permitted; and
    • Provide a minimum of three years free membership, per eligible adult who is the primary occupier of the development, to a car club if a car club bay is located within 850m of the development; and / or contribute towards the provision of new car club bays proportionate to the size and scale of the development if it creates 80 units or more; and
    • Ensure that retail or leisure car parking within town centres is shared with public parking and is not reserved for customers of a particular development; and
    • Ensure off-street town centre car parking follows the requirements as set out in Table 12, which:
      • Adhere to the residential car parking standards in Table 11; and
