OS6 Open Space Accessibility and Safety
Proposals for development will only be permitted if new open spaces provided in association with the development, and any enhancements to existing provision, are:
- wherever practicable, located where they can be accessible by foot, bicycle, public transport and by people with disabilities and, where appropriate, by horse, and
- designed to minimise the risk of crime and reduce the potential for anti-social behaviour and the fear of crime by incorporating natural surveillance as a means of increasing people’s feeling of safety.
