T4 Telecommunications Equipment

Telecommunications equipment will be permitted if the following criteria are all met:

  • There are no practicable alternatives such as mast sharing;
  • There is a technical requirement for the equipment that outweighs its visual impact;
  • The equipment is designed and located so as to reduce its impact as far as possible; The proposal complies with the safety requirements of the International Commission on Non-ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP)
