DMO 1 Protection and enhancement of open spaces
The Council will continue to protect MOL from inappropriate development in accordance with the London Plan and NPPF. b. Other areas of open space including those shown on the Policies Map, green infrastructure and smaller areas not displayed on the Policies Map will be protected and enhanced in open use and new development will only be permitted where:
- it is linked to the functional use of the open space; and
- it does not harm the character, appearance or function of the open space. Cumulative impacts of development will be taken into account in this assessment.
Where the net loss of open space is proposed, replacement provision of equivalent or improved quantity and quality that suits current and future needs will be required in an appropriate location.
