DMT 4 Land for transport functions
Development of sites that would compromise land used or safeguarded for transport functions, will only be permitted where:
- there is no current or future strategic or operational need; or
- alternative provision is made; and
- consultation has been undertaken with operators, owners and/or other interested parties.
New and additional land for transport functions and infrastructure will be sought to address deficiencies in provision and/or to accommodate expected future demand.
Commercial heliport facilities will be restricted to the existing heliport site at Bridges Wharf on the Battersea riverside. Further new commercial heliport sites will not be permitted.
