ENV13 - FEATURES OF LOCAL IMPORTANCE FOR NATURE CONSERVATION

The Council will seek to safeguard sites and features of nature conservation importance that are not identified on the Proposals Map but which contribute to the natural heritage of the District. The development of such features will not be permitted unless either:

  • the development would not significantly and adversely affect the features or
  • the features will be protected from harm or transferred to another habitat or
  • the importance of the development outweighs the nature conservation value of the features.
