Planning applications for waste management development will only be permitted if the Local Planning Authorities are satisfied that:
- having regard to Policy WLP2, there is a need for development;
- there is a wider environmental benefit resulting from the development which outweighs any adverse environmental and other effects resulting from it;
- the development and its associated traffic would not give rise to any unacceptable environmental impacts; and
- satisfactory arrangements are made to secure infrastructure, services and amenities made necessary by the development.
