H4 Conversion of Residential Accommodation
In the towns and specified settlements the Council will grant planning permission for proposals for the conversion of large residential units to provide smaller self contained units, provided that:
- It would not adversely affect the visual appearance and character of the area, nor the amenity of neighbouring residential properties by overlooking or loss of privacy;
- It would not result in increased disturbance from extra vehicular movements and car parking;
- It would preserve the architectural merits of the building; and
- Adequate usable amenity space can be provided.
