R15 Wildlife Sites

Planning permission will not be granted for any development which would have an adverse effect on Wildlife Sites or Regionally Important Geological/Geomorphological Sites unless:

  • It can be demonstrated that the reasons for development outweigh the need to safeguard the biodiversity of the site; and
  • Measures are taken to mitigate the effect of the development, to compensate for any residual adverse effects and to reinstate the nature conservation value of the site.
