RA16 Rural Employment and Diversification

Proposals for appropriate rural diversification will be permitted subject to the following criteria:

  • The development should contribute to the viability of the unit and must be compatible with continued farming operations;
  • It would provide employment and contribute to the local economy;
  • It would be sustainable in terms of its impact on rural traffic and the surrounding environment; and
  • It would accord with Green Belt policies.
