KBR20: OFFICE USES
In order to conserve the diversity of the business base in the Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Area, development proposals to retain or create Class B1 office space outside residential areas are strongly encouraged.
The loss of Class B1 office space in the Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Area will be resisted. Any development proposals that would result in such a loss must demonstrate that the existing office use is no longer viable.
Proposals for the redevelopment or change of use of 1 Knightsbridge Green from offices should demonstrate genuine need for the alternate use.
In order to assist the retention of B1 office space in the Knightsbridge Neighbourhood Area, the use of Article 4 directions by Westminster City Council is supported.
