KBR7: PEDESTRIAN MOVEMENT ALONG, ACROSS AND ADJACENT TO THE HIGHWAY NETWORK
A: Development proposals should seek to improve pedestrian movement along, across and adjacent to all levels of the highway network, where doing so would not compromise its wider functions as set out in the road hierarchy for Westminster, and subject to approval by Transport for London where applicable. This will particularly be the case if it would reduce pressures at existing pedestrian crossings or specific hotspots of pedestrian congestion at bus stops or the junctions with the following locations:
- Knightsbridge Green
- Lancelot Place
- Montpelier Street
B: Highways works that create additional public footway space along Brompton Road without increasing traffic congestion will be supported.
